Is GlucoTV free?
Yes — GlucoTV is completely free to use. If you find it helpful, you can support development with a coffee donation.
Is my data safe?
Yes. For Dexcom, your username and password are encrypted using AES-256 (Fernet) before being stored. The encryption key is kept separately in Google Secret Manager — so your credentials in our database are useless without a second key that only our server can access. Decryption happens in-memory only when your session token needs refreshing, and the plaintext is immediately discarded afterward. Your glucose data is used solely to display on your TV and is never sold or shared. See our privacy policy for full details.
Can I use GlucoTV on multiple screens?
Yes — each Roku pairs independently, and you can share your desktop link with as many people as you want. Connect multiple TVs and browsers to the same CGM account simultaneously.
How current is the data?
GlucoTV updates automatically and is designed to show new readings as soon as your CGM reports them. CGM sensors typically report every 5 minutes, so readings will reflect that natural delay — this is the same delay you see on your receiver or phone app.
Do I need a Roku to use GlucoTV?
No. You can pair a computer directly without a Roku — just click "Pair a Computer" and connect your CGM. You'll get a shareable link that works in any browser. The Roku app and desktop viewer can also be used at the same time.
Will more CGM systems be supported?
Currently we support Dexcom and Nightscout. More CGM systems are planned for future updates.
Every coffee helps cover server costs and keeps development going.
